With almost a century of conflicts, peace-keeping missions and great winds of change, the CHP RSL Sub-Branch continues to provide the comradery, comfort and mateship that brought WWI veterans together in their humble beginnings in 1930.

Our purpose is to assist serving and ex-service men and women and their families by offering care, access to services and advocacy. Alongside the Club, we deliver commemorative services to bring awareness and remembrance to those who have fallen, respect for ex-serving men and women and pride for those who serve today.

CHP RSL Sub Branch are proud to announce the launch of their website.
This brings them up into the 21st century where Club Members and Members of the public can source information on the Sub Branch, key appointments, meeting dates, social events, browse image galleries and read up on interesting facts on past conflicts.

On 19 September the Officer Commanding of 145 Signal Squadron and MAJ Katie Burrup invited the CEO of CHP RSL Dean Thomas, the President of the CHP RSL Sub Branch Ken McIntyre and the Secretary of the CHP RSL Sub Branch Doug Wigg, to
join some of the soldiers for a morning tea at Holsworthy Barracks.

The Sub Branch had established a special relationship with the Squadron due to their support on Anzac Day this year. Five soldiers commanded by CPL Michael Herring performed the duties of the Catafalque Party during our Dawn Service Commemoration. This also gave CHP RSL Sub Branch the opportunity to present the soldiers with a memento of their ceremonial commitment to our Dawn Service. It is somewhat special for an RSL Club to be supported by a Defence Unit mainly due to their high tempo commitments to Overseas Operations and just recently the Multi-National, Ex Talisman Sabre 19 conducted up in the Shoalwater Bay Training Area just North of Rockhampton. The Talisman Sabre series of exercises is the principle Australian and US military bilateral training held every 2 years. We look forward to hosting soldiers of 145 Signal Squadron in similar circumstances
in 2020.
