On a lovely sunny Sunday 41 Bowlers & 3 Non Bowlers were warmly welcomed by Bowls Secretary Martin Billam. Due to other commitments being scheduled for the same day Greenacre were unable to field many bowlers.
Bowls Secretary Martin called the cards assisted by Assistant Bowls Secretary Thelma and we went out to play about 10.10am, it was a very enjoyable day on the green and everyone seemed to be enjoying themselves we played until 12.30pm. It was good to see Enid Openshaw back on the green and Len and Jean Kelsey. Bowls Secretary Jeanie plans to join us at Concord RSL in April and we are all looking forward to seeing her.
Lunch was served at about 1pm we had a very nice Chinese meal and a number of people went back for seconds. Assistant Secretary Thelma advised Terry Ross is in hospital he is on the mend now and hopefully coming home from hospital next week. Thelma advised the Anzac Dinner at CHPRSL will be held on Friday 9th and Saturday the 10th April 2010 cost will be $30 per person and you will need to book ASAP there is a list going around or ring Secretary Jeanie.
Bowls Secretary Martin thanked everyone for coming and making it such a good day. Vice President Roy responded thanking President Barry on behalf of President Margaret for a lovely meal and great greens and good company. Roy also said a special thank you to the lady committee members for all the work they do and concluded by saying how proud he was for being a member of both clubs represented here today.
