Due to a misunderstanding the visit planned for Grandviews had to be changed and transferred to Marrickville at the last minute therefore it was very pleasing to have 58 bowlers and 5 non bowlers attend. Bowls Secretary Phil welcomed the CHP RSL group and called the cards and we again went out and played in beautiful sunny weather we certainly have been having an lndian summer, there were a number of close games and everyone seemed to be enjoying themselves. We played until 12.30pm. Lunch was served at approximately 1.30pm we had had a choice of three Chinese dishes with boiled and fried rice followed by apple and custard sponge with ice cream. President Sherron welcomed CHP RSL to Marrickville and hoped that everyone had enjoyed their day and lunch and thanked Chef Simon and his wife Julie for the lovely lunch. President Margaret responded thanking Marrickville for the day and congratulated the Chef on the meal. The club Member of the Year Awards will be held at CHP RSL on 15th May 2010. Bowls Secretary Jeanie said how good it was to be back and she hoped to be back on two legs and on the green soon. Jeanie welcomed new member Nerida Watson from the Ashfield club to the group and hoped she enjoyed her day. Jeanie also said if any new member had'nt received their CHP RSL badge to come and see her, Bowls Secretary Jeanie and Bowls Secretary Phil called the winners and the runners up.
