On a beautiful Sunday morning 39 Bowlers & 4 Non Bowlers were warmly welcomed by President Frank and Vice President Eric, Concord had 28 bowlers a good turn out.
It was lovely being able to welcome Bowls Secretary Jeanie it has been a long time since Jeanie was able to come to a game and a big thank you to her daughter Julie for bringing her.
It was also great to see Fred Morris this was the first time since Annette had the stroke hopefully we might be able to arrange a day when Annette can come along to see her friends.
Terry Ross was also back after a serious health scare and seems to be well on the way to recovery Welcome back Terry.
President Frank called the cards we had one swinger’s team (aptly named) and we went out to bowl till the bell and the smell of the BBQ called a halt around 12.30pm.
Lunch was served at about 1pm as usual it was a great BBQ the boys do it so well at Concord and a big thank you to the Ladies for the lovely salads altogether a very enjoyable meal.
President Frank thanked everyone for coming and making it such a good day also a big thank you to the chefs John & to Eric who Frank said is a great organizer .
President Margaret responded thanking President Frank for a great day and a lovely meal, lovely to see Jeanie and thank you to Julie for bringing your mum.
Safe journey home
Vice President Eric did the raffle and winners and runners up and announced that CHPRSL got 181 Concord RSL 192 therefore they have got us again.
Bowls Secretary Jeanie thanked everyone for coming and congratulated President Frank Chef John and Vice President Eric for making it such an enjoyable day.
Jeanie said if any new members had not received their CHPRSL badge to come and see her.
The CHPRSL Member of the Year award and dinner will be held at the club on Saturday 15th May 2010 6.30pm tickets $30each you need to get your names down and pay for tickets by the next game at Marrickville B.C 2nd May 2010.
The President’s & Officers Day on 6th June 2010 has been relocated to EBP Sports.
The Committee was asked to stay behind for a quick meeting to choose who will represent the Outdoor Bowling Group as Club Member of the Year.

June young
June had an unfortunate incident at Coles at Earlwood. She was in the car park when lady ran into her. She was taken to St George Hospital and her foot is in a bad way. We are thinking of you and hope you recover soon.
