Hurstville Golf Course Round 10

With heavy rain falling all week, we are lucky that we have Noa(h) as one of our members, but wonder who the two he will take on the Ark.  ” Pick me ! Pick me ! “

Today 28 to 30 players hitoff at Hurstville Golf Course in a bush setting where the rabbits run free in plague proportions and deprive the native animals of their natural habitat. We should band together to eradicate this problem of too many rabbits. The NRL did their bit to rid us of these problem rabbits but other animals got together to further their cause. Firstly a Pig(gins) then later a Crowe(not to be confused with Crowhurst) gathered at  Homes, then a Court, to keep these “pestky varmits” alive by lots of oinking and cawing(Graham Kennedy got into strife over bird calls, so cawing it is)

These Rabbits are mean and are not the fluffy bunny type and recently tried to end the lives of a team of Tigers, a couple of weeks ago, but a team of Warriors helped extract revenge on the hordes of rabbits ,as they can make you pull your hare out, if left to multiply, later the fluffies attacked a panther

We have several rabbit lovers in our group , so show no mercy to the likes of Les Frost, give him the cold shoulder, Michael McVicar, pray for him and the Shepherd from Como, should know better, as the rabbits compete for the same grass as his sheep

These three openly have token idols of affection for these creatures, being golf club covers, stickers, caps, stubby holders & show blatant disregard to the other animals adored by other members of our group, such as the tiger, mighty magpie, bulldog, eel, panther etc but I’m not so wrapped with the sea eagle who used to scavenge from every other territory.

Where’s Elmer Fudd when we need him? Hope he’s out” hunting “ wabbits !”

Some magically shots were played in the soggy conditions today where we had to tee up through the green, so the driver was used on the fairways but we were not used to pitching into the green off a tee but still there were  shots that  pulled a rabbit from the hat with that “wow“ shot .
Some other shots disappeared down a burrow, and even Alice is still Wondering where the ball could be, not much use looking any further for that one, otherwise you’ll be late for the tea party and the Captain and the King of Handicaps won’t be pleased and off with your head

Today’s Stableford winners were Daniel Stevenson 1st on 38 points, on a count back  from Steve Shepherd, 2nd again on 38 points, Troy Wilks, 3rd on 37 points, continuing his excellent scoring ahead of Noa Palu  4th also on 37 points  on countback with John Kottaridis  5th also 35 points.

Welcome to Joe Belinha to our Social Group today.
