Vocational Excellence Award

Helen Jagger President and Violet Mansour of the Rotary Club of Campsie presented David Starr on Thursday 6th December with the Vocational Excellence Award for 2007. The Award was a unanimous decision by the Rotary Club of Campsie for David's work in the community especially with youth.
Rotary were involved with Young Achievement Australia (YAA) held at the club and provided 2 mentors to assist with the program.

CHPRSL supported Rotary with funding for a mental youth program which Rotary ran earlier this year.

Canterbury Hurlstone Park RSL were involved in the following youth programs in 2007:
Young Achievement Australia
Youth Off The Streets
Exodus
Belmore Youth Resource Centre
Belmore Police Citizen Youth Centre
Horizon Theatre
Merry Makers
various sporting groups
Variety the childrens charity
many local Secondary Schools offering hospitality courses as part of their school-to-work programs
just to name a few of the organisations
