Hospitality Training Program Detail

Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) at CHPRSL

This ONE DAY AQF Level III unit is a mandatory requirement under the Liquor Act and Registered Clubs Act for those seeking employment in a licensed premises.
The program provides:

  • the necessary background knowledge and understanding of the NSW legislation that applies to the sale, service or supply of alcohol in NSW
  • strategies that support responsible service practices and harm minimisation

Course Aim

Objectives

Participants will learn about:

  • Explain the legal requirements for the responsible service of alcohol
  • Understand the effects of over consumption and problems that may result
  • Identify the relevant provisions of the Liquor or Registered Clubs Act that applies to a variety of workplaces
  • Identify signs that may indicate levels of intoxication
  • Develop workplace strategies to support responsible service practices and harm minimisation

Certification

On successful completion:

  1. Nationally recognised Statement of Attainment for–THHBFB09B– “Provide Responsible Service of Alcohol”as part of a Certificate III in Hospitality (Operations)THH33002
  2. LAB Certificate - Liquor Administration Board Certificate for “Responsible Service of Alcohol”
