Hospitality Training Program Detail

Food Handling & Hygiene

This ONE DAY AQF Level III program provides participants with background knowledge and understanding for the preparation, packaging or service of food which is applicable to both personal and workplace hygiene as required by the Food Standard 3.2.2 of the NSW Food Act 2003.

Course Aim

Objectives

Participants will learn about:

  • The Acts and regulations that govern the hygienic preparation and service of food in NSW
  • The Food Standard requirements for person and workplace hygiene
  • Safe food handling, preparation and storage procedures
  • The critical steps that can be taken to ensure the safe preparation, handling & service of foods
  • The potential consequences and risks posed by poor hygiene standards

Certification

On successful completion:

  1. Nationally recognised Statement of Attainment for– THHGHS01B – “Follow Workplace Hygiene Procedures” as part of a Certificate III in Hospitality (Operations)THH33002
