This ONE DAY AQF Level III program provides participants with the skills to dispense a range of coffees using commercial equipment that may be found in a retail outlet or as an integrated part of bar operations as well as knowledge of products that they may use.

Course Aim

Details from SIT07 Tourism, Hospitality & Events Training Package - SITHFAB012A - Prepare & Serve Espresso Coffee

Objectives

Participants will learn about:

  • Setting up, cleaning and maintaining the Espresso machine and equipment within a service outlet.
  • Advice to assist customers with coffee.
  • Grinding coffee beans.
  • Using the Espresso machine to extract the coffee according to the customers requirements.
  • Texturing the milk.
  • Serving & presenting a range of coffees to meet the demands of customers.

Certification

On successful completion:

  1. Nationally recognised Statement of Attainment for–SITHFAB012A – “Prepare & Serve Espresso Coffee” as part of a Certificate III in Hospitality SIT30707
