Certificate II in Hospitality SIT20207 - AQF Level II qualification
Course Aim
The aim of this Certificate Level II qualification is to provide an entry to point to a diverse range of students to provide them with a Nationally Recognised Training Qualification and a set of skills which can assist them to gain employment or commence or develop their own careers.
The skills electives offered within this program will vary depending on the outcomes that are most relevant to the target group undertaking the training, the funding base and the course configuration offered.

- SITHIND001A -Develop & Update Hospitality Industry Knowledge
- SITXCOM001A - Work with Colleagues & Customers
- SITXCOM002A - Work in a Socially Diverse Environment
- SITXOHS001A -Follow Health, Safety & Security Procedures
- SITXOHS002A - Follow Workplace Hygiene Procedures
- SITHIND002A - Apply hospitality skils in the workplace

- SITHFAB001A - Clean & Tidy Bar Areas
- SITHFAB002A - Operate a Bar
- SITHFAB003A - Serve Food & Beverage to Customers
- SITHFAB006A - Provide Responsible Service of Alcohol
- SITHFAB012A - Prepare & Serve Espresso Coffee
- SITHGAM001A - Attend Gaming Machines
- SITHGAM006A - Provide Responsible Gambling Services
- SITXCCS004A - Provide Club Reception Services
- SITXFIN001A - Process Financial Transactions
Work experience placements may be included in some configuration to allow students to put into practice the skills that they have learnt in a practical environment. Where this qualification is undertaken as part of a traineeship then there will be a full-time or part-time employment requirement.
Who should attend this course?
The eligibility criteria for the Certificate II in Hospitality SIT20207 includes a set level of numeracy and literacy skills. Students must be 18 years of age at the commencement of the course.
Certification
On successfull completion of all units and assessment requirements contained within the specific course students will received a
- Certificate II in Hospitality SIT20207
which is recognised in all States and Territories of Australia.
Units gained in completion of this qualification can also be used by students to gain advance standing in higher level qualifications that they may undertake in developing their individual careers.
Duration
The duration of the individual program will be between 6 and 12 months depending on completion of units and work experience.
